Ube Brûlée Nitro Cold Brew Latte

Ube Brûlée Nitro Cold Brew Latte

Rich, creamy, and visually striking — this drink combines bold cold brew with the earthy sweetness of ube (purple yam), layered over milk and topped with a caramelized brûlée-style foam. It’s a dessert latte you can make in seconds, no torch required.

Equipment

NitroPress hardware

Ingredients

For the Base:

200ml (6.8 fl oz) whole milk or oat milk

200ml (6.8 fl oz) cold brew coffee

For the Ube Cold Foam (Made in NitroPress)

100ml (3.4 fl oz) milk (or oat milk)

1 tbsp ube halaya or ube syrup (strained if thick)

½ tsp vanilla extract

Optional: 1 tsp sweetened condensed milk for richness

Garnish (Optional but beautiful):

Sprinkle of brown sugar or turbinado sugar on top of foam

Light torching (if available)

Instructions

Prepare the foam:

In the NitroPress, combine milk, ube syrup or halaya, vanilla, and condensed milk. Shake until fully dissolved. Charge and shake gently for 10-20 seconds.

Assemble the drink:

In a 500ml glass, pour 200ml cold milk, then 200ml cold brew over it. Add ice if desired.

Top with ube foam:

Dispense the ube-infused nitro foam directly over the cold brew. Aim for a flat, creamy head.

Optional brûlée finish:

Sprinkle a thin layer of sugar on the foam. If using a torch, gently brulée the top for a crisp finish — otherwise, let the sugar sit for a subtle texture.
